Welcome to the Website of Takoma Park Baptist Church! We are a historic church in a community and nation that is in desperate need of hope and healing. We believe that that hope comes from having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and through a church that is on mission for Him. That is why our Mission Statement challenges us to “glorify God by becoming relevant in our world, real in our relationships with God and others, and radical in our discipleship, as committed followers of Jesus Christ. How to become a Christian:

1. Know that God loves you and wants the best for your life. (John 3:16, 10:10, Romans 6:23)
2. Admit your need for forgiveness. (I am a sinner) (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23)
3. Be willing to turn from your sins. (Luke 15:10, Acts 2:38)
4. Pray and ask Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (receive him as Lord and Savior) (Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9-10, 13)
