As a youth, what is important for you to
find in a youth group? What would make you interested in being a part of
the Youth Ministries at a church?
When one youth was asked to describe her
life at Takoma, one thing that immediately came to mind were the mission
activities:
"As the group takes part in
different service opportunities like making holiday baskets or serving
in a soup kitchen, it makes you feel good about yourself to be helping
others….I would convince someone to join the youth group or become
involved because of the fun we have doing things (both
spiritually-focused and other fun activities)."

And youth are involved in many different areas of the church:
"I am involved in the church by
serving with the Saturday Club, I am also a member of the Youth Choir as a
vocalist and drummer, I have been an actor in various Christmas
plays and I also do a lot of individual activities outside of the
church."
